How Supercargadores Vehiculares S.A.S., the company that operates the VOLT charging network, collects, uses and protects your personal data, and how you can access, correct or delete it.

Who is responsible

Supercargadores Vehiculares S.A.S., tax ID (NIT) 902.054.131-0, is the data controller. VOLT is the brand under which the company runs its network of charging stations for electric vehicles in Colombia, together with its app, website and payment channels.

Registered address: Carrera 42 No. 75-83, Centro Comercial IDEO, Itagüí, Antioquia, Colombia. Email: contacto@supercargadores.co. Phone for personal-data matters: +57 300 614 3387.

What data we collect

Only what each purpose needs. For drivers who use the network:

  • Identification and contact details: name, ID number, email, mobile phone, address and city.
  • Your vehicle: plate, make, model, connector type and battery capacity.
  • Charging sessions: date, time, duration, station, energy delivered, power, charger and connector used, and the amount billed.
  • Payment and billing: invoicing details, payment method, a masked card token and the transaction reference. Payments are processed by Wompi; the company never stores your full card number or security codes.
  • Location: only when you turn it on in the app, to show nearby stations and their availability.
  • Digital channels: IP address, device and browser identifiers, pages visited and navigation data collected through cookies and similar technologies.

The company also handles data of business contacts, site owners and partners, suppliers, job applicants, employees and visitors to its offices and stations, as described in the full policy. It does not collect sensitive data, and its services are meant for adults.

What we use it for

  • To provide the charging service: create and manage your account, enable and settle sessions, issue receipts and invoices, handle refunds and claims, and give you support.
  • To keep you informed about the status, availability, maintenance and news of the network.
  • To understand how the network is used, plan its expansion and improve the service, including statistics and anonymized information.
  • To send you commercial and promotional information about VOLT and its partners, only if you accepted that separately. You can opt out at any time without affecting the service.
  • To keep people, equipment and platforms safe, prevent fraud and comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations, and with requests from authorities.

Who we share it with and where it is stored

Your data may be stored and processed on servers outside Colombia, through providers of cloud infrastructure, email, customer management, analytics, messaging, invoicing and payment processing. Today that includes Google LLC, whose data centers are in the United States and elsewhere; payments go through Wompi under its own terms. Each provider signs a contract that limits the use of the data to the stated purposes and requires confidentiality and security measures.

Data may also be shared, when necessary, with the operators of the charging-management platform, electronic-invoicing providers, customer-support providers, legal and accounting advisors, insurers, affiliated companies, site partners and public authorities. The company does not sell or rent its databases to third parties for their own advertising.

Your rights

Under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 you have the right to:

  • Know, update and correct your personal data, and access it free of charge.
  • Ask for proof of the authorization you gave.
  • Be informed about how your data has been used.
  • Revoke your authorization and ask for your data to be deleted, unless a legal or contractual duty requires keeping it.
  • Object to the use of your data for marketing, without affecting the service.
  • File a complaint with the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio, the Colombian data-protection authority, once you have gone through the company's own process.

How to exercise them

Write to contacto@supercargadores.co, use the contact form on this site, or send your request to the registered address above, with your name, ID number, contact details and a description of what you need. The Personal Data Protection Officer handles these requests on business days from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Colombia time.

Queries are answered within 10 business days and complaints are decided within 15 business days, counted in the way the full policy describes. The service is free.

Cookies and location

The website and the app use cookies and similar technologies to work, remember your preferences, measure usage and, only with your consent, show content and advertising tailored to your interests. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent; the rest are set only after you accept them, and you can change your choice at any time or block cookies in your browser.

The app asks for your device's location only to show nearby stations, calculate routes and check charger availability. You grant or revoke that permission in your device settings, and it is not required to use the service. On this website, the "Near me" button on the map asks for your location only when you tap it, and nothing is stored or sent to the company.

Video surveillance

Where the company operates its own cameras at stations or offices, recordings are used only for the safety of people, property and equipment and to investigate incidents. They are kept for 30 calendar days unless linked to an incident, a claim or a request from an authority. In stations located inside buildings run by third parties, such as malls or parking facilities, their cameras are the responsibility of the building's administrator.

How long we keep your data

For as long as needed for the purposes it was collected for and for the periods the law requires. As a rule, customer data is kept while the relationship lasts and for ten years after it ends, as required by Colombian commercial and tax law; accounting and invoicing records are kept for ten years; data of prospects with no contract, for two years after the last contact; and video recordings, for 30 days. After that, the data is securely deleted or anonymized.

Changes to the policy

The company may update the policy to reflect legal, organizational or technological changes. Substantial changes that affect the authorization you gave are announced before they apply, through the usual contact channels and on this website, and a new authorization is requested when the law requires it. The policy was approved on September 17, 2026 and is governed by Colombian law.
