Can your car charge at VOLT?

If it has a CCS2, CCS1 or GB/T DC port, yes. Open your car’s charging flap and compare it with the three ports.

  • CCS2, the most common in Colombia

Most new cars from European, Korean and Chinese brands have it.

A round port on top and two large pins below.

  • CCS1, the North American port

Cars imported from the United States and Mexico.

A small five-pin port on top and two large pins below.

  • GB/T, the Chinese standard

JAC, BAIC, Dongfeng and many electric trucks and buses.

A large round port with nine pins.

Not supported at VOLT for now

  • Type 2. AC only: the port used for slow charging at home.
  • CHAdeMO. The Japanese standard from earlier generations (Nissan Leaf).

Not sure? Send us a photo of the charging port and we will tell you.

By make and model, coming soon

We are building the list of cars sold in Colombia with their port and the power they accept, verified against each importer’s spec sheet. The same model can come with a different port depending on the country, so we will not publish it until it is confirmed.

In the meantime, send us a photo of your port and we will answer the same day.

Can my car charge at VOLT?
Yes, if it has a CCS2, CCS1 or GB/T DC port: those are the network’s connectors. Most new cars in Colombia use CCS2; cars built for the North American market use CCS1, and some Chinese models (JAC, BAIC, Dongfeng) use GB/T. Open the charging flap and compare it with the three ports. If your car only has a Type 2 port, which is AC, it cannot use a fast charger.
Can plug-in hybrids charge?
Only if they have a DC port (CCS). Most plug-in hybrids charge only on AC, through a Type 2 port, and cannot use a fast charger. If the port has two large pins at the bottom, it is CCS and it will charge.
