$1,300 COP per kWh

You pay for the energy that goes into your car. No sign-up fee, no monthly fee and no session fee.

What a charge costs, by the kWh that go in
Energy charged Price (COP) Approx. range
20 kWh A short top-up while you run an errand $26,000 135 km
40 kWh Half the battery of a mid-size car $52,000 265 km
60 kWh A long charge, from nearly empty to full $78,000 400 km

A kWh is the unit of energy, like the gallon for gasoline. Range assumes 15 kWh per 100 km, what a compact car uses.

$52,000 about 265 km

Most compact cars have a 40 to 60 kWh battery.

  1. Grace period at the end

You have 15 minutes to unplug. After that, $1,500 per minute is billed while the bay stays occupied. It is not a fine: it frees the bay for the next driver.

  2. Parking at Palms Avenue

Parking belongs to the mall and is paid: the first 30 minutes are free, and purchases at Carulla get you 2 hours free. A fast charge takes 25 to 35 minutes.

  3. Demand-based pricing, once it exists

At off-peak hours a kWh may cost less. You will always see the price before you start.

How you pay

You link your debit or credit card once in the VOLT app, through Wompi. When each charge ends you are billed automatically and the receipt stays in the app.

  • Wompi, the payment gateway of Bancolombia, processes the charge for each session from the VOLT app. Your card details are stored by Wompi, not by VOLT.
  • When the charge ends, only for the kWh that went into the car. The receipt stays in the app’s history.
  • Nothing is charged at the station: there is no card terminal and no cash.
  • Any price change is published on this page before it applies.

Questions about pricing

How am I billed?
You pay for the energy that goes into your car, at $1,300 COP per kWh. No sign-up fee, no monthly fee and no session fee.
How much does a charge cost?
It depends on the kWh your car takes in. 20 kWh (a short top-up while you run an errand) costs $26,000 COP and gives you about 135 km; 40 kWh (half the battery of a mid-size car) costs $52,000 COP and gives you about 265 km; 60 kWh (a long charge, from nearly empty to full) costs $78,000 COP and gives you about 400 km. There is a calculator on the pricing page.
How can I pay?
You link your debit or credit card once in the VOLT app, through Wompi. When each charge ends you are billed automatically and the receipt stays in the app.
Is it safe to link my card?
Yes. Your card details are stored by Wompi, the payment gateway of Bancolombia, not by VOLT: we only receive a token to bill you when each charge ends.
Is there a monthly fee, membership or session fee?
No. There is no sign-up fee, no monthly fee and no fee to start a session: you pay only for the energy charged.
What is the grace period at the end?
When the charge ends you have 15 minutes to unplug; after that, $1,500 COP per minute is billed while the bay stays occupied. It is not a fine: it is what it costs to keep a bay occupied without delivering energy while another driver waits.
Does the price change?
Today it is a fixed price per kWh. We are preparing demand-based pricing: at off-peak hours a kWh may cost less. When it applies, you will see the current price in the app before you start.
Do I get an invoice?
The receipt for each charge stays in the app. If you need an invoice in a company’s name, write to contacto@supercargadores.co with the subject “Billing”.
